Photonics Open Projects (POP) is a young company founded in 2023 and based in Lannion, France. POP is a SCOP, a French worker cooperative in which the company is owned and governed by its own employees. POP was created as a spin-off of the AgroPhotonique partnership between Photonics Bretagne and Arvalis, building on research carried out within that partnership.
Our mission
Our mission is to disseminate photonic sensing technologies openly.
Through open hardware and open source software with ONE-PIX, and through direct collaboration with the research and industrial communities who put these technologies to work in the field, from fablabs to precision agriculture and health care.
